Radical Life Extension: Technological Strategies to Defeat Aging

Today I’m releasing a new book called Radical Life Extension. It explains what aging is and explores technologies that could help slow or reverse the process. Aging is the leading cause of death, so it is a very urgent and important problem, assuming something can be done about it.

People have developed a number of strategies for extending human lifespan. Most of them won’t work, but a few strategies stand out as not only possible, but feasible within the lifetimes of people living today.

The current best contenders are biostasis, replacement, and advanced bioengineering. Biostasis means pausing the death process with cold temperatures or chemicals so that someone might be saved by future technology. Replacement means getting cell and organ transplants to rejuvenate the body. Bioengineering means using powerful gene therapies to rewrite human biology.

Please reach out if you have any questions or comments. If you like the book and want to learn more, check out the Longevity Biotech Fellowship.
